Lower Limb Reconstruction
We see and treat a large number of open fractures of both the upper and lower limb each year (Approximately 140 a year). This is in the context of a large multi-disciplinary team with our colleagues from orthopaedics, microbiology and physiotherapy. Our results are world class with one of the lowest infection rates of any large series and excellent union rates.
Open fractures are serious injuries. Treated poorly amputation and infection rates are high. We combine collaborative working with evidence based medicine and modern techniques to achieve the best results possible. Please contact us for further information.
